Calculating Annual Income for I-864

I started a new job in February 2010. Do i still have to calculate my annual income as per the 12 Months?? I am a little confused on this.

Annual income is what you would earn in 1-year's time; so, yes - 12 months. (Not what you would earn from Feb-Dec.)

Multiply your weekly/bi-weekly/hourly pay times the number of those in a year.

As for this as well do you include a general idea of pay? Because nobody can know if you will be out with sick kids etc...I dont want to have that an issue...

I guess im wondering if its ok to "estimate" but in a methodical way example: your amount per hour x 37.5 hrs week paid on a weekly basis...room for sick leave? or do i leave that out giving the total of what I come up with in the equation?

ugh i think im making it more difficult on myself :(

you should have an employment letter stating your salary and you should put

that number in I-864 current income line 23(cuurent individual annual income).

Calculating by yourself may cause an RFE?

No no...I have the employement letter but I still have to figure it out because they wrote it for me and I started the job this past november so right now I dont have a yearly figure...

it is 13.5 per hour 37.5 hours per week (this is what she stated in the letter) per week

i just didnt know if i needed to subtract my holidays or leave it as it is...as the employer wrote it...

thanks

And maybe you can mention how you calculated in your cover letetr so that

they do not ask if they don't understand.

isn't annual income is what your base yearly salary is from wages? (excluding bonus, capital gains/loss etc since these are not constant items)

and assuming someone gets a raise in 2011 compared to 2010, what salary should you use? the latest salary or the old salary?

You would use the most updated salary I would think...I;m up for review in May so I may even see an increase before we have to submit i 864...I'll have to get new employer letter but it would be worth it..:)

And of cos...updated paystubs to show the increase ;)
