Why is it that it's different everywhere? Like my relatives in New York and Virginia celebrate it the day before. I thought since it was Eid there tomorrow then we would have Eid Tuesday. But my dad told me he heard it's tomorrow for us as well.

well the rule for eid or starting of ramadan is simple. you look for the moon on the 29th day of the month. if you see the moon you start fasting, and end fast. if you dont see the moon you finish 30 days for the month. Not too complicated. but now we have all these uncles going crazy about making it easier for the community. some people want to follow calculations, someone wants to follow saudi arabia. somone wants to just set the dates as convenience. thats what creates all the controversy.

but the rule is very simple like i said. you look for the moon on the 29th day of the month. if you see the moon you start fasting, and do the same for eid(the ramadan eid of course). if you dont see the moon you finish 30 days for the month.

so what you ladies cooking for eid?
