Well DUH.

They compared the best-of-the-range Porsche (911 Turbo - $140,850) with a second-best

Corvette (Z06 - 505-hp 7.0 Liter LS7 V8 @ $77,230.)

Why didn't they test-run the ZR-1 (638-hp 6.2 Liter LS9 supercharged V8 @ $106,880)?

The Porsche is still much more expensive but it would have been a fairer comparison.

Okay, run the ZR1 against the GT2 and the GM just catches up - it does better in actual road conditions but still lags the Porsche in all the acceleration disciplines. And the GM needs a much larger engine to accomplish that...

So the Corvette would be the better car on road. And a whole lot cheaper.

Quarter mile is one aspect. What about handling? What about reliability? What about cornering? What about stability? What about comfort? What about ride quality?

Of course, if Spook says it's the best car, then surely it's the best.

As you said, they are sold out, therefore, this must mean they are the best sports car in the world. Once Americans buy them and are happy with them, that automatically (by default) makes them the best right..

The ZR1 has a 100,000 mile powertrain warranty, unheard of for a car of this power and performance level. If you have 20 minutes sometime, watch this, it's a lot of fun.

Hey I know it's a fast car, heck my friend is an engineer at GM AUS.

That is a very nice car.

Thanks Bro...I spent 7 hours reversing the winter beating to that car today. With the help of 3M, it now mirrors that photo.....Seriously.....
