What's the Aussie word for punishment?

Nice try guys. First off, this would never have made the news. They don't have an anti-government movement there, so such idiocy is not an issue. Then again, excluding the US, which other first world country does? We prefer to empower the people who work for the government (for us) than cut them down every chance we get.

After all, you don't get to first place without knowing what you are doing. Nevertheless, lets talk about whether this is "constitutional".

This wouldn't appear on the news in Australia?

Unless arresting kids for scribbling on desks or snapping pencils is common practice out there, I'd say that's just not true.

For starters, they don't have smart-mouth kids who speak as if they are 24, yet play the poor innocent me card when busted doing stupid things.

As I said before, they don't play the same gotcha game that is going on here.

Based on what?

How do you substantiate that or the claim that the media there wouldn't report such a story?

For starters, living a good 27+ years there. Not to mention, I read the paper from over there, pretty much every day. Such stories over there are not sensationalize, as they don't sell. People simply don't have the same anti anything government attitude there.

How does that prove anti-government? You guys seem to think you can use article/s or cases to prove a point. Hey, if there is a stabbing in Sydney, surely that means their crime rate is on par with US cities right...

Do you even know what that is about? If you are going to find a story, at least read into the background prior to posting it.

Leaving aside the anti government stuff, its just not believable that the Australian media doesn't publish these types of moral outrage stories.

That's the whole point, it would not have made the media. It kills me you play ignorant to this. What is considered newsworthy here, is probably not newsworthy there. I do also read BBC every few days and can without a doubt say what is considered newsworthy on there, is quite different to what is considered newsworthy here.

Something like this would have been handled by the department of education; rightfully, nothing to see move along.
