Yours still says initial review too. i thought it might say something different since you did your biometrics. I am going for mine tomorrow do you leave with anything like to send them in the mail, or do they just send it to them?

Nope, they do it all. I was given a comments card afterwards with a couple of questions about courtesy of the staff and helpfulness and whatever, but I just ticked Excellent for everything because I'm not telling Immigration that they suck before I get a visa. LOL! No, she was nice so I didn't have any complaints. I just had to stick the card in a little comments box by the door.

But that's all! Just bring yourself, the letter, your ID and your marriage cert. And make sure you're passport-photo-presentable. And good luck, I hope you get in and out quickly!

Im getting kinda impatient (i kno i just filed yesterday but still). i have an interview again thursday. I don't even know what to tell them. I hope i have my work permit in the next month

yea a job interview. I started to apply early because I know the finding a job process takes a while...I wasnt expecting to have all these interviews already.

But I def wasnt waiting till I get my work permit in hand to start searching.

Yeah that was probably a good idea. I want to get a job so bad but i didn't think you could apply for any without giving a social security number first. I did my biometrics today and am hoping it starts to get going.

Did you do the timeline that is on this site? If gives you an estimated date on which your EAD will be approved through the information you put in. You should try it just to see when your date is. Mine is the latest may 2nd.

No I didnt, I dont feel like doing that lol. I looked at it but seems liek too much work. mines shud be something around the same time as u. May 2nd isnt bad at all. but it seems liek alot of ppl had to order their card more than once and end up gettin their greencard before the cards ever reach. I just hope there are no set backs wit us. i need my EAD asap!

No mine still says initial review and the same thing on march 1st we received your application etc. really annoying lol. I had touched on the 17th but nothing since.

I filed in January, so a month earlier... still waiting for my EAD approval, but I hope it's coming soon. I did the same thing and started applying for jobs (back in JANUARY!) but this week had some good luck - 2 interviews and a job offer for a super awesome job. When they asked why I was leaving my internship, I told them "because I'm expecting my employment authorization and greencard soon, and when I get them that cancels my internship". Then this morning when I had my second interview, they asked when I could start and I said two weeks -- hopefully USCIS doesn't make a liar out of me!

congrats on gettin the job. I have a second interview with this bank. I really dont know what I am going to do if i get hired. I am hopin they let me start and just bring it in when i get it...which would be a month or so the latest, dont think its that big of deal. I see u already have ur interview date as well. Wow, everything moved along quickly for u guys.

My EAD timeline went down to April 22nd that's exciting!! Hopefully they are right!
