I was looking at the documents to bring part on my interview letter and it says "All travel documents used to enter the United States" and it says my I-94 but i don't have that anymore i got rid of it 3 years ago not knowing that i had to keep it. I don't have my train ticket either because it was 3 years ago. Is that going to make a difference? Does anyone else even still have it either?

I still have my I-94, they normally staple it to your password. but I think they meant visas, I-20's etc when they said other documents used to enter the US, no tickets. I dont kno what to say about not havin the I-94, I mean its not like they can reject u because if not having it.

It's not the tickets, it is whatever they gave you at the border. I have my I-94.

I think you can get a copy of it if you lose it from USCIS via form I-102.

Yeah when i came here initially we lived in Washington and the reason i stayed was because my husband had to relocate to Utah so somewhere in the move it got thrown out or just got lost i didn't think anything of the significance at the time darn it lol. I looked into that form and it says that it can take months to process whereas it can take days sometimes and it costs 320!

Just curious, has ANYONE ever received a text or email update from USCIS? I stopped check my text messages with excitement long time back.

We really only got the text/emails for major events. It was MOST helpful after the interview. That is how we knew Kyle was approved.

I wanted to also post an early Good Luck to everyone at their interviews, and preparing for them. It helped me to prepare things a bit early, and then had Kyle run through the checklist with me to make sure it was all in place. I was part of the December filer group in this subforum, and it helped a lot to look at previous "groups" that went through the same experience as us(specifically look at the last few pages where the checklists/interview experiences are).

I am as well, from a student visa. When did you file?

its good to see other student visa applying. My husband will become citizen only next month. We already got our I 130 approved. and our visa number available and now I could apply I 485

So, its good to see other f1 to I 485 filers..I will have to apply only in May filers but its encouraging to see u guys

By the way, has anyone had to apply for CPT while waiting for the EAD/GC? I'm being considered for a part-time position and need work authorization ASAP!!

I would just wait for an interview before you give a start date if you get hired. So far everyone is just getting interviews and no EAD's. I think it's because they changed all filing instructions but i am not totally sure. You should be getting your interview letter pretty quick based on when you did your biometrics. The amount of time everyone is getting there interviews is about the same amount of time it would usually take to get your EAD anyways. What is a CPT anyways is that some expedited way to get your EAD?

I tend to agree. I never did receive my EAD or AP, and my interview is in 3 days! I went for an infopass appointment last week, and the officer told me that they most likely set those aside because my interview was so soon. Meanwhile, I had an interview and job offer - told them that I'd be able to start today at the lastest (which was 3 weeks from the offer), then I had to call and explain it could be another two weeks! Lucky for me, they're willing to wait.

I have been obsessively reading back through older groups to see people's experiences, LOL! No matter how much evidence we've gathered, I still feel like they're going to ask me for something I don't have with me and I'll be like, "Uh oh.... how could I have forgotten?!"

But it seems like they just ask for different things with different couples. Some people report that the IO barely even looked at their photos, and others say the IO decided to keep half their photos! So I guess you never know.

I read your interview experience and had to laugh at the part where you said the office was just like in The Proposal, because when I watched that movie a couple of weeks ago it's the first thing that sprang to mind. "I wonder if the offices really look like that..."

I finally got my interview letter! Woohooo!! Hadn't checked the mailbox yesterday, but hubby grabbed the mail on our way out today and handed it all to me. As soon as I saw the oh-so-anticipated envelope I screamed! (scared him and he asked what was wrong, then laughed when I explained)
