Not so cool day today. First the good news, my mom has an interview date in Sarajevo on April 1st. Now the bad news, she received her interview letter today (March 30th) which basically leaves her tomorrow to get the Medical exam done with no appointment. I do not understand why a letter was not sent to us in the States, we have gotten every single piece of correspondence except probably the most important. Anyway my mom is going to be the first in the doctors office tomorrow and hopefully everything works out or we are going to have to call the embassy for a reschedule.

I forgot to mention that the letter was dated March 15th, I guess they sent it snail mail to Sarajevo.

I am sorry to hear this. It's a travesty at best to have to deal with this. I cannot imagine that pressure and stress this is having on you and yur wife. IN FACT this is the very reason why right after a CASE COMPLETE, people need to follow up closely and find out where exactly is your case and the status.

If Sarajevo is anything like Cambodia, mail sent today via regular mail will arrive in about 3 months. IF IT ARRIVES. I'm puzzled why nvc didn't email you the letter?

I haven't met anyone that has been denied a visa with a bonafide relationship and/or sufficient I 864 AOS. So it's really a waste of money to be at the interview unless you suspect there could be valid reasons for a denial.

People that have been denied in the past ofen failed to provide adequate evidence of relationship, income, joint sponsor and in the case of sibblings and children ( a blood test ) might be needed.

My wife had just gotten her medical today so we should be getting the result in a few days. Other than that we are ready to go.

Yeah Mhay didnt necessarily want me there for the interview, but to travel back with her. If we were to travel together I could get a cheaper ticket because we would have a couple of stops. With her travelling alone i want as few stops as possible. the best flight for her is the Manila-Taipei-Anchorage....only like 12.5 hours travel time. the other flight I found that might be good is Manila-Guam-Hawaii-Anchorage. I am waiting until after her interview to actually purchase a ticket. I am kicking myself now though for not buying the China Airlines one a couple weeks ago...only $760....to change it if we needed to would have only been $75 not the normal 2-300. Oh well, I know things will fall into place.

To Sachinky, SPSGUY, VJers,

I have some questions guys. Do we have to do something with DS-2053 form? I may not have done enough research regarding this form as in whether or not I have to bring it with me on the interview day. Can anybody tell me if we need to fill this form? (FYI, that form looks complicated to me)

I got my medical examination done, and already got the result with the brown sealed envelope in hand. I remember SPSGUY suggested us to request the copy of the result or some sort, and I did ask them so, but was told that the result is meant to be kept in secret except to the surgeon and the consulate officers.

They gave me the Vaccination Documentation Worksheet, but  I have no idea if the DS-2053 is in that sealed envelope. Is that form required at the interview? :help:

That sheet is the vaccination documentation sheet which was filled up by your doctor and is presumably in your sealed medical package.

Don't worry about it.

They also gave me a copy to look over it so that I knew how the medical was going to be set up but they told me that I don't need to fill it up.

It's all in the package, and you should be fine.

Thank you so much for the instant response. I'm feeling a lot at ease now. I'm glad to know that I don't have to fill that DS-2053 form. :) I have one last question, dear. When i was doing the research, I've seen some people are having trouble with the RFE at the adjustment of status or some sort, and it had something to do with their medical exam history. Do we have to keep any forms or records for future use? To be honest, I definitely don't want to have any potential problems back here in my country when I can't do anything about it. Hmm...

P.S I feel like when I need help, you are always there for me (F)(L) Thank you so much <3
