security checks NOA21?

I did do a search on this site and would just like to confirm what i believe i read. I see some people get help up b/c of "security checks". Do these security checks come after the NOA2 from NVC? Just curious. If that is correct the only thing to come from CSC, in my case, is either NOA2 or RFE. Is this correct? Thanks

NVC is resposible for the security checks you read about. NOA1s, RFEs and NOA2s come from the service centers.

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

If you are in security checks there is no way of telling by looking at the online status. The only way members have been able to confirm this is when a congress person has enquired on their behalf when the processing date is 30 days or more past. A congress person however can not speed up this process. It will be completed when its completed. You may or may not be held up in security checks as this may of already been done.....it may just be the IMBRA backlog. I hope you hear something soon about your approval.
