Hi all, I'm new to this thing.

I'm filling out the I-485 form. For Part 2, "Application Type," I'm confused as to which to mark. And I also have an issue for the "Current USCIS Status" part

So here is my situation. My girfriend and I were just recently married. I am a US citizen and she's a German citizen. All that she received at the airport (LAX) when she arrived was an I-94 card.

So here are my questions.

1. Under part 2, which box should I check because I can't find an option that meets our situation.

2. What do I put for Current USCIS Status?

And another question.

3. For part 1, do I put my home address with which my wife is living at also, or do I put her original german address, but she was living with her parents though.

Thanks for the help

hello,

well, what kind of visa your wife have to enter the US, is it K-1 (fiance visa) ? if it is then hope these answers could help you..

1. Check the c box.

2. For the Current USCIS status, put the kind of the visa your wife has which is K-1 visa ( Fiancee). That was what i did.

3. Yes, your home address.

Good luck to both of you!!

Oct 2005 - met my baby

The wait would be unbearable but it'll be worth it. It strengthens the love, it attaches you even more to each other, it shows how your man would do whatever it takes to be with you, that he will never give up on you because he LOVES you!! All the waits, stresses, tears, heartaches, all the miserable feelings you feel along the way will be paid off once you get what you've been hoping for...oh and WITHOUT PRAYERS? will be like trying to start a fire with water, JUST WON'T WORK!

Have you looked at the example form here on VJ? It can help with a lot of the questions that pop up. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...p;page=examples

You would put her current home address. I assume that she's living with you here in the US, correct?

She entered as a tourist. It wasn't done under a K1. From what I read, Germany is under the visa waiver program, so I don't think they need a visa to visit right? So what box should I check if she didn't enter as a K1? Thanks
