To NVC? Originals and a copy. You need to send both. Make sure the Ink stamps on the originals are shown good. Cuz i got i RFE cuz the ink was not dark enough and they thought it was a copy.

about the translation if the benificiary is at Chile and you get married at Chile you dont need to translated as the interview will be at Chile..

Anything you send to the USCIS can be photocopies and anything you send the NVC needs to be original documentation.

Yes, thats why you send copys also, so you can get back the Original ones back at the interview

I found out not everything can be photocopies to the USCIS....if you have a divorce decree it has to have the stamp on it from the court to show it was actually filed....now I didnt copy the back side of mine (where the stamp was) so i dont kow if they would have accepted it if I did. When in doubt send an original and a copy. I know I read where you are supposed to bring more originals and copies to the interview. I know if you just bring copies to the interview (from what I have read) you can get the originals that were submitted back. I know for us, i just made sure to have enough originals to submit and to have for our records....costs a little more and yes it is overkill, but it will save us in the end.
