Can you guys please share your experience about k1 visa.

My fiancé got NOA1 on November 10, 2009 and we have no idea when we'll get NOA2. Today it's 3 months since we sent our papers (to Vermont USCIS) and we still have nothing. :( Any forecast?

Thanks.

I sent my application to USCIS on October 22th, 2009 and received my NOA2 today 2/09/2010.

I know the wait is hard, but hang in there. You should be receiving your letter soon.

Yay! Congrats! :D

I heard that Cali USCIS works much faster that Vermont USCIS. I don't know if it's true but it looks like.

Hello Anna, my fiance and I got our NOA1 on the 18th of November from VSC. Just about the time it seems that VSC (Vermont Service Center) started to work a whole lot slower. There is a whole bunch of folks at the link below that are trying to gather information that helps predict when we'll all get our NOA2s.

Come say hello...

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=226833

Below is a link to a spreadsheet they have created and maintained that might give you some insight. It shows your specific date and what has happend on that day. (you'll need to scroll to your date at the bottom of that page). I wish I could take some credit for it but I'm just the messenger. Keep in mind we're a about half way through the process when you look at the over all averages. It shouldn't be any later than the end of May before you guys are together from what information I have seen.

Good luck, hang in there and all the information you could ever want is scattered around here somewhere in this website.....

Have you taken a look at the immigration timeline section in the menu above? There's one known as Igor's List, that shows petitions according to type and Service Center, divided into months. Had a quick look at yours and there's only been 4 NOA2s so far for November, apparently. Also your personal timeline says Feb 15 to... can't remember, lol, sorry. But it's based on some complicated matrix of all the timeline data that's been fed into VJ. And that's why everyone harps on about completing timelines, because it gives a more accurate picture and is a simple way of giving back to the whole community :)

Shouldn't be long now, good luck!

Timeline Summary:

K-1/K-2 NOA1 - POE: 9 February - 9 July 2010

Married: 17 July 2010

AOS mailed - Interview : 22 November 2010 - 10 March 2011

ROC mailed - approved: 14 February - 18 June 2013

Citizenship mailed - ceremony: 9 February - 7 June 2017

Thanks! I'm a little bit confused with Igor's list. How does it determine your number on the list? How do I get started?

Have you been entering the dates into your timeline ? Did you create a timeline. If not, go to Immigration Timelines and click on the link to Add/Edit Timelines. It will prompt you for your email address as a Password/entry intoo the System. Enter all your information such as date I-129F sent and date you received NOA1.

Then Igor's list shows you percentage of Applications Approved at a given Visa Service Center for the Month of your NOA 1. For example, If you are using CSC and your NOA 1 date is in November, 40% of the petitions have been approved so far. But it is a small sample size because we are not getting many of all of the petitions filed entered into the timeline.

It is a way to get an idea.
