I think it does, because if there's already 100 people sitting there waiting for their turn they're probably less inclined to let you in. Also, some ASC outright deny doing your biometrics earlier than your assigned date, but it's certainly easier to argue with the officer when you're first in line when they open.

I can't seem to find their number to call and ask if they accept walk-ins, so I'll go early monday morning and see if I can get it done. Thanks for the info!!!!!!!!

Hey Snivvel, I completed my biometrics today! Thanks for telling me it could be done early. The lady was a bit pissed off and said that they didn't accept walk-ins, so I said that I would return on the 3rd then. Then she replied, "ok, since there is no one here, I'll take them". The office was completely EMPTY.

Let me know when you get your EAD. :-)

Bye!

I been reading and tracking some of the postings.. what I want to understand is.. Can my wife walk-in and/to do her biometrics before her appointment? [as long as she has an appointment date of course]

It depends on the service center. Not all will allow walkins, but some do. You can certainly try.

OMG I just logged in to see if someone had posted something about the EAD and I see that you got your interview letter today! Awesome! Hopefully it'll go smoothly. Do you know what things they actually ask for in the interview???? If you do, let me know, I'm clueless about everything...hahaha.

Btw, no news on the EAD???? My case shows nothing new after the update done with the biometrics. :-(

For evidence they want to see things like a joint lease/mortgage, accounts, insurance (health, car, house, life), bills (phone, internet, tv, utilities). Basically things to show you are both responsible for stuff now. Pictures from the wedding etc.

Questions they might ask are about jobs, what each others birthdays are, when you met, who does what around the house, stuff like that. Things that prove you actually know things about each other.

Hey Danu, just letting you know that I got my interview letter today! So, I guess you shall be receiving yours soon, too. My kids even got theirs, and their biometrics were taken on March 3. The notices are dated March 1. So, I guess that to set the interview they don't take into account the biometrics appt, just the date they received the AOS papers. The only bad thing is that there are 3 of us and 3 different interview dates. But all is well.
