Hey yall! I'm coming up for a breath of air for the first time in days. Partially because of wedding/in-law stuff, partially cos, well, sex. Married life is pretty amazing right now, I must admit. Peter's POE was very easy at Newark, they just took him into a room, took his documents, did the finger print thingy as usual, and after some waiting he was given his passport back with a "here you go." Easy as pie.

I will post tons of pictures of the wedding soon, I promise! I hope everyone's doing great.. glad to hear you finally have an interview date, solmarc! <3 It'll sneak up on you in no time.

I miss my entire VJ family immensely. Peter's out of the shower now, sooooo.. time to skedaddle!

Sandt, congrats on getting stateside. I have been told that I am borish. My luggage had to be scrubbed inside and out. Really.

Lohninck, way to go. Happy for you. Sex with a partner is so much better. Trust me. My batting practice has paid off.

Leslie, go play with your box. You are good at it. I will play with "a box" in about an hour.

Solmarc, glad to see the donkey got you an interview date. Just remember, dress the midget in a bowtie and thong for the interview.

Update from here. We have spent the past few days saying goodbye to friends. We leave at 5am to go see her family tomorrow. Today we packed up her apartment with all the things she is giving away. A ton of stuff. Plenty of friends coming by to collect the bounty. One more beer and I will explode. I think I can do it though. On Thursday we travel to Kyiv, Friday leave ugly dark early to RDU. I will be out of service for about 4 or 5 days, but once our travel and settling down goes good, I will be back to annoy y'all.

NancyandClee, I hope that you get an early interview date.

Montreal is the slowest US consulate in the world. They laid off a ton of workers even though the volume of visas is still way up. Typical Canadian #######. I called DOS today, against my better judgement, because I knew there won't be a date yet, & sure enough...no date. Shocker. (said with all sarcasam I can muster)
