Hi all, I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right forum. But I'm getting my AOS forms ready and I have to order my marriage certificate. We just got married last saturday and to get our marriage license certified we'd have to go to the county clerk's office, which is always full of people and the wait is usually couple of hours. I was searching online and we can order the marriage certificate online through vitalchek website. Has anyone used this website to order their marriage certificate and if yes, what are your experiences? Did you get your certificate fast? Any bad experiences? Would it be better to just go to the county clerk?

Thanks a lot

If your "license" has not been registered as a valid marriage then no online service can help you as there will be no "official" registered marriage on file

YMMV

It should be registered, the officiant of our ceremony has taken care of taking the forms to the county clerk for us. She gave us our copy of the license, but the other two she said she would deliver to the county clerk. Hopefully she's done it by now.

after ours was registered it only took a day to get it back.. but we did pay the extra to have it expedited and we faxed to get the information for our vital stats... you may want to call and see if that is an option...

Congratulations on the marriage..

As others have said - go down to the county clerk's office and get it done, you should be able to take the (now registered/recorded) marriage certificate home with you. Count yourself lucky - often times the person performing the marriage 'sends it in' for you which seems to always take a week (sometimes more, depending on where). This way you get it right away.

Thank you :) Yeah, I think that's probably the best thing to do, go there. Thanks everyone
