everything from NVC (such as the DS-230) goes directly to the consulate

YMMV

We filed a CR-1 and the only thing we got was the email--which worked for us.

He printed it out and took it to get his medical, then used that same email with the interview date, along with his medical, and went in for the interview.

The appointment email can be printed out to be used as an "appointment letter" of sorts to get into the medical and the actual appointment... they will provide the medical results in a big envelope to be taken to the appointment...

if she walks in they will likely give her an appt. a few days later...She needs to have an appt. so have her call and set it for the 24th.. the 24th is fine.. she should get her results on the 25th... plenty of time before the interview... as long as she does not have to deal with additional TB tests she'll be fine with everything set before the interview....

Yea...you should have her schedule the appointment and then see if she can go earlier as a walk in. If so, hopefully you can get results earlier and then not go to the "scheduled" appointment. <--I don't trust those too often in VN (especially when they say 9:00 appointments...HAHAHAA...what a joke!)
