Your inability to understand my simple two-sentence statement explains why you are a Palin apologist. Sheesh.

Palin was largely the reason that McCain did so piss poor in the presidential election. There are valid reasons for not thinking Obama was really the right man for the job and many people would have voted McCain because of them (including me, if I had been eligible to vote by the way) but then he chose Palin as his running mate. That has to be the most misguided decision he has ever made. It made him look like a light weight and Obama reaped the rewards. Yes, there were other factors obviously, but the swing voters, the ones that matter, really they swung away from the monstrosity that is Ms Palin and yet you Danno, still don't get it

MC, McCain's best polling was after he Brought PaLIN ON board, before that he and his staff were the only ones at campaign stops. If you look at the polling his numbers crashed when the markets did.

I actually shutter to think to think of how many people would have not even voted at all for him, without her. (even so, I and many others stayed home).

Danno, I get that his numbers were related to the markets too, really. However, the only ones energised by the Palin pick were those who would never have voted for a Democrat, not in a month of sundays. Had he chosen a better running mate, he could have done better. Whether he would have beaten Obama, whoever he chose, well, who knows? However, Palin was the worst possible choice he could have made. He lost credibility with that pick, period.

Yeah, really. Not voting at all is pretty stupid. You could have made a difference Danno, but you chose to bury your head in the sand. That's pretty pathetic.

Actually MC, I don't believe in voting if you think it will harm the overall agenda... whatever that might be.

I actually wanted Obama elected rather than McCain, he would have been the final nail in the coffin of the Right.

As it is turning out, Obama may turn out to be the medicine this country needed, so NOT voting can actually yield long term advancement.

You didn't vote? Then STFU! :P

PLay the roll of "dependable voter" if you like..... I will not allow any party to have that power over me.

No its not. This is exactly what the consevative movement needed. Obama will bring down his own party. The US needs a wake up call every so often. The chosen one is making the call.

No I saw McCain campaigning and couldn't believe that he was the best they could do. He was a horrible campaigner. The only thing worse would be if Palin runs and gets the nod next time. Lessons have to be learned though so I hope everyone keeps looking at her as the next candidate. The only thing this lady has going for her is she is a MILF. That is all she is and will be.

Do either of you honestly believe that?

Her supporters are pulling something else.

All presidential campaigns see a bounce right after convention and naming the V.P.. In McCain's defense, he really needed to pick someone who would energize the base. At that point, things were pretty polarized and if he just stood pat and picked a bland V.P. like Pawlenty, Romney, or Crist, he would have a very predictable, albeit closer loss. The difference at that point was that the democrats were getting youth votes and a higher turnout than normal compared to the republicans. So he took a chance. He really didn't have much to lose at that point. I thought Kay Bailey Hutchison would have been a good choice. Hell, I would have considered voting for them. My candidate lost as well, but at least I voted.

People who don't vote are deluding themselves that doing so makes some kind of profound statement. It doesn't.

Politicians dont care about the people who don't vote.

I thought all this talk of "personal responsibility" was supposed to mean something. Nothing like skiving on your civic duty as a citizen to demonstrate patriotism.

What a joke.
