Alright, I'm filling out my I-130 petition for my sig. other. We got married very quickly so it would be before his 6 month stay in America is up. Because of the quickness of which we got married, are we going to be investigated? I know we did it to be married, but I don't know if they will think that...

So stressed...

Nobody gets a free pass - each case is evaluated on its own merits. Investigation may be a bit strong a term if that helps.

**Moving thread to "Adjustment of Status from Work, Student, & Tourist Visas" where it may be more appropriate.

You are going to be looked at closely both because of the short courtship and getting married while being here as a tourist, but that does not mean you will be denied. Just be prepared with lots of evidence that he did not intent to stay when he came down (bills, bank accounts still open in Canada, lease to house, letter from employer etc), as well as the bonafides of your relationship (photos, chat and emails from before you met in person, maybe affidavits from your friends who have observed you together and family who were at the wedding etc).
