Once a wanker always a wanker

What's funny is in the case of Joe, he deliberately pokes his stick into the hornet's nest and then is surprised when he gets stung. ;)

Every time!

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

What an unbelieveably uneducated thing to say. You really can't be that ignorant can you?

It's not an uneducated thing to say at all. I'm not White, I grew up in the 50s and 60s during Jim crow and I agree with Joe. Libs are plenty racist. You White libs need to do more listening rather than listening rather than insisting that you know more about racism than anyone else.

That is a true statement. Democrats and liberals have been the ones that supported slavery, fought against civil rights and support federal subsidies to keep people dependent on the government and keep people from being successful in society. Absolutely correct. There is a REASON the old South was called the "Solid South" for Democrats, until 1980 when Carter blew it (even southerners wouldn't vote for that dimwit) Democrats ARE the biggest racists and often are quoted saying such hateful racist things such as "well those people NEED our help, they CAN'T do it by themselves" Revolting.

some Prominent Racist Democrats

Strom Thurmond

George Wallace

Bull Connor

William Fulbright (Clinton's hero and mentor)

Al Gore Sr. (filibustered the civil rights act with Fulbright)

Robet Byrd (former KKK leader)

The list is long and star studded, some of the most influential and famous of all racists. When they could no longer legislate people into underclass status they switched tactic and made them slaves to the government, telling people where they can live, what they can eat, where they will go to school (yeah...and there is no more "segregation" right?) and even pa for them to abourt their babies. They cultivated a society where 70% of families are fatherless...what an accomplishment THAT is. The schools are terrible, the prospects for employment worse and generational dependence on welfare is the GOAL in life. The KKK, never a bunch as stupid as the racist cover people would have you believe, have simply reversed the tables and NOW if you don't go along with what they do to people, they will call YOU the racist!!!!!! Yeah...tell me again, WHO are the racists?

Yeah... and there's absolutely nothing wrong with ignoring history just so you can claim that some fictional "double standard" exists.

I like to use history to teach us, I agree with you, Gene.

Read the Alabama Constitution from 1859. It specifically says that if a REPUBLICAN is elected president in 1860 the state will secceed! Read the Alabama constitution from 1901, after re-construction! You will get a belly full of Democrat history. I grew up in Texas at a time when there was segregation and our state was 100% Democrat! We had separate drinking fountains mandated by the Democrat state legislature. Public restrooms were "men", "Women", and "Coloreds", by law. The Legislature and Governor were Democrats. You think John Connoly was a Republican in 1963? Sorry, Dude he was a racist, pro-segregation Democrat and ol' JFK couldn't wait to ride next to him in a limo. Where do you think the term "Blue Dog Democrat" came from? The SOUTH. In the south it was said people would "vote for a blue dog if it was a Democrat" This did not change until 1980 and in many ways has still not changed. You will see, for example, the legisltures of Kentucky, Alabama, Mississippi, etc. are packed full of Democrats but the they elect Republicans for national office. They don't trust "national Democrats" The Republicans were considered the "Party of the Yankee Invader" Democrats wanted slavery to continue, Democrats fought against civil rights. George Wallace, a Democrat, stood on the steps of the University of Alabama with the Alabama Guard and faced down the US Army to prevent "Negroes" from going to the University. Bull Connor, a Democrat, turned his fire hoses and riot batons on blacks protesting for civil rights. Democrats filibustered the civil rights act, including Al Gore Sr. Al Gore Sr. also dedicated the monument to the founder of the KKK in Tennessee.

History shows us that the Democrats have been, always, the party of oppression and racism. When they lost the civil rights act fight, they implemented and expanded our current welfare system. Lyndon Johnson was not at all for "civil rights" he was in faovr of modernizing racism, of making it more efficient and at the same time appearing to "help people" LBJ was as big a racist as there is, he was just one of the smart ones. It didn't take long for the Democrats and "liberals" (who really aren't liberal at all) to jump on this band wagon.

I would very much like to consider histoiry when making decisions about who is a racist. You?

Sure, but all of history, not half of it.

Slavery, racism, sexism, etc were part of the social fiber of the country. I'm not real keen on holding people who were born 80, 90, 100 years ago to our current social standards. It's dishonest and unfair.

After civil rights passed, the Southern Democratics left the party and joined the Republicans and that's where they have been ever ever since. That doesn't mean that after that, the Democrats were somehow these perfect people who didn't behave in the same way that the republicans did.

However the truth is, the Southern anti-civil rights member of the democratic party left it to join the Republicans; that is as true as the Democrats being the racist party you say it was. Both statements are true, the question is which is more important? What happened before 1964 or what happened after it, when the Dixiecrats left the democratic party?

Look at the states you list...what you rail against isn't Democrats, but Southerners.

Here's a list by region of who voted for and against the civil rights act in 1964

By party and region

Note: "Southern", as used in this section, refers to members of Congress from the eleven states that made up the Confederate States of America in the American Civil War. "Northern" refers to members from the other 39 states, regardless of the geographic location of those states.

The original House version:

Southern Democrats: 7-87 (7%-93%)

Southern Republicans: 0-10 (0%-100%)

Northern Democrats: 145-9 (94%-6%)

Northern Republicans: 138-24 (85%-15%)

The Senate version:

Southern Democrats: 1-20 (5%-95%) (only Senator Ralph Yarborough of Texas voted in favor)

Southern Republicans: 0-1 (0%-100%) (this was Senator John Tower of Texas)

Northern Democrats: 45-1 (98%-2%) (only Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia opposed the measure)

Northern Republicans: 27-5 (84%-16%) (Senators Barry Goldwater of Arizona, Bourke Hickenlooper of Iowa, Edwin L. Mechem of New Mexico, Milward L. Simpson of Wyoming, and Norris H. Cotton of New Hampshire opposed the measure)

They were both as bad as each other, but the Northerners of both parties carried the day and at the end, many of the Southerns left the party and joined the republicans. Also note the percentage of votes.

Let's not ignore the full scope of history.

Just an observation: Is having black history month racist? Is Ebony magazine racist? Is having a black caucus racist? When I read the title of the thread I thought oh a white only team and of course as always I find the race card being thrown!

My next question to the all the racist police here is, do all of you have racial thoughts that bring you a guilty conscious?

Why is it that you protectors of blacks never ever post examples of reverse racism? (Equally)

Bill Clinton the other day was quoted (talking about Obama) " A few years ago that boy would be servin us coffee" And this is coming from the so called "first black" Pres.

To end, I would say that ppl who are very sensitive about race more than likely harbor some ill feelings themselves and finding relief from these ill feelings by projecting them on others at the drop of a hat.
