This is probably a "stupid" question, but has anyone gotten an RFE for using an old passport picture? I'm about to send off my I-129F and it's the only thing I'm missing. I do have one passport picture of my fiance that he used for his US work visa last year, so when they see the copy of his passport (I'm including it as proof for my petition), they might or might not notice that it's the same picture. Hopefully I'm just overanalyzing?

We got 2 new photos taken. We didn't want to run the risk...

Definitely the best advice, I would if I could. Unfortunately my fiance is in the army right now (no access to computers, digital cameras, etc.), so my options are limited. I do have a digital picture of him from a few months ago, all of the requirements match except the background is more beige than white. I'm considering printing that out + the old picture and sending in both, hopefully one will win.

Oh, sorry, I didn't realize he wasn't available to get new photos.

If the passport photo isn't too old, then perhaps it's not going to be a problem. Good luck!

When we sent in the I-129 we used an old one. I think it was at least a year and a half old and was the same one in his passport. Had no problem. When we sent in packet # 3 he got new ones taken.

Thanks Jenn, it's nice to hear that you were in the same situation and didn't have any problems. I think I'm just going to send the old one and cross my fingers.

I wouldn't take a chance, if you have to he can always take a picture of himself against a white wall and email it to you and you size it and print it out on photo paper and cut it and make sure it's according to the way they want it. I did that before, nothing wrong with that if you have a good printer.
