Hello again,

My husband has filed for his Residency and is awaiting the interview date and now we are wondering if we should have? He is a 1st Officer on a Mega Yacht and is not in the country that often. We just heard that he would need to be in the country for more then 6 months of the year or the visa would be taken. Is this true? Is there any way around this if so? The only reason we filed for the Visa was so that he could come in and out of the country without any hassles. We have been married for 2.5 years and have a 4 month old son. My husband is a British Citizen and I'm an American. Any help would be great. Thanks!

Also consider that the Customs and Boarder Control can deny entry to a green card holder if they deem they are no longer residing in the USA permanently. However, as long as there is no OTHER country in which your husband is residing, I would highly doubt he would have any problems with entry after explaining his occupation and circumstance, particularly if he's entering on the yacht.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
Understanding the big picture is priceless. Anonymous
