Good Afternoon my name is Adrian, this is my first post here and would greatly appreciate some help. Well today I recieved an email and hard copy letter stating the interview date for my fiance. Her interview date will be March 2, 2010

Me and my fiance communicate very well when we are face to face but over the phone its kind of hard.

My questions are can someone translate into spanish the next steps she need to take before the interview date.

And if someone can help me with the conversion of pesos to dollars of the Medical Exam fees.

I will be traveling to attend the interview, my fiance does not seem to understand why we need to pay for a medical exam for her, Visa fees and such.

I have emailed her all the info she needed but she questions me about everything and then tells me she does not understand me.

I have explained the importance of this to her but I have notice with most colombian that no matter what things are they are not really important.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I would greaty appreicate everyones help.

You can give her the link to the US embassy in Bogotá. There she will find all the info she needs in Spanish. They have a link of the Interview package where it lists all the documents she will need to take to the embassy as well as info regarding her lab tests and medical exam. She's supposed to receive this package in the mail but due to the inefficiency of the mail system in Colombia, most people don't receive it at all.

She can also visit the Colombian K1 visa thread where she will find more information about the visa and the interview.

The easiest way I have found for the currency conversion from pesos to dollars is to drop three zeros from the right and divide by two. I have a 10,000 pesos bill left from my last trip that I keep in my wallet, and is about 5 dollars or a little less. I hope this can help..
