Hi..... Sorry its me again!!

I have read that you needed a Police Certificate for AOS.... I have given the Us Embassy my Police Certificate and I was wondering if it is in the big brown envelope?! I dont think I want to go paying for another police certificate just because they did not return mine! The Consular handed me my original birth certificate after the interview but not my police certificate

For all those people who have finished your interviews and have been given the visa, was your police certificate in the brown envelope? :P

I wish I can open the envelope to check and not think about it anymore! :innocent: But that will be stupid, so here I am bothering you VJ members!

Edit: Oh dearrr I think I just posted this in the wrong section!!

I don't know if the police certificate is in the envelope, however it would be highly likely being that it was an integral part of the visa process. Anyway, for AOS you don't need to submit a police certificate, so don't fret.

We had to for AOS, only time, never made a copy of it, never needed it again after that. Wife felt stupid in her home country getting a police report saying she didn't do anything wrong. Well, at least she didn't get caught at it, LOL.

You do not need a police certificate for AOS. Typically the consulate keeps the original police certificate and the translation (if any) you keep the copy of it. Of course you made a copy because you would never give ANYthing to ANYone without making a copy. At any rate...not needed fopr AOS

The Police Certificate was only needed at the Consulate level and no one ever asked for it again, not for AOS and not for Removing Conditions.

HOWEVER, for AOS don't forget to make copies of EVERYTHING you send in!!! You never know when you will need it.
