Martha contracts are trading at $85 which means that Intrade estimates her chances of winning at 85 percent.

If you really believe she's going to lose, you can put your money where your mouth is and

make a lot of money in the process.

Personally, I wouldn't bet against a probability as high as 85%.

Intrade is rarely wrong. She's going to win.

Hope you didn't bet (invest much) on Martha (or is it Marsha? Or Marcia?) LOL

InTrader had dropped her odds to 50/50 by Saturday and after Obama's speech, were giving it to Brown 60/40 earlier today.

she will lose. Brown 54% Coakley 46%

Nope - didn't bet on Martha either way.

Too bad, she's now trading at 24

Pretty wild, heh. MA might end up killing this stupid healthcare bill after all.

This election illustrates something that I've been saying for a long time: The opinions & votes of the Independent voter is key. There is a lot of animosity b/w the Republicans & Democrats and regardless of the candidate they will vote along party lines. However the Independents are not loyal to either party & tend to vote on the merits of the candidate vs. being loyal to a respective party. I know very little about the candidates in this race but I do know that Independents favor the Republican candidate 2-1.

ACORN will ensure this happens. ;)

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Senator Barack Obama
Senate Floor Speech on Public Debt
