I understand how you feel, I have been to countries where they have real poverty.... poverty you can't escape, I wanted to take pictures of some of the things I saw but I would never do it if anyone would be aware of it, not only does the person with the camera look like a silly tourist, it seems it is degrading to the person who is the subject of interest.

I could never be a successful photographer where it involved intruding on people.

I will be hopefully taking some street video in India next month. The poverty there is unlike anything I've ever seen here. The social safety net in this country prevents many of the poor from the undignified living conditions that are so common in that part of the world.
