For the most part, Mexicans don't lob indiscriminate missiles our direction, engage in suicide bombing, our situations differ in other ways as well... The size of the respective fences needed, and costs involved for us to build a much larger wall for one thing...

It seems this wall has as much to do with keeping out Illegal workers, consider the area this wall is being built.

Just to be completely serious here for a second.

Do you suppose there's any kind of Pacific Ocean barrier we could put up to keep Australians out the US?

I mean, the smart ones already know that Australia is so far superior they'd never even dream of coming over here.

But the problem is that unfortunately there are a few daft ones who insist on coming here. So we get the dregs, which really isn't quite cricket.

I think we need a mile-high fence somewhere in the Mariana trench to keep them down under where they belong.

In the case of America, I agree. But in the case of Israel, the Prime Minister himself has stated that preserving the Jewish-majority is the intent. I don't believe that's a mindset we need here in America. We're better than that.

I think all countries have a right to preserve their history traditions and culture, and for obvious reasons Israel would want to do this, what I don't agree with is "Israel get the pass" and no one else can do the same thing without being roundly condemned.

Not long ago, the building of Minarets was outlawed by the Swiss in a vote of the people and what did we hear? It was terrible!!!! Nationalistic even.

Some of you who would say; "butt out of Israels business didn't mind butting into the Business of Switzerland.

For the record, I don't give a flying sh!t what the Swiss do either.

Well, I'll tell you one thing Danno. Israel does not "get the pass". If there's one country in the world that gets beat up on in the UN repeatedly, it's ... you guesed it. That's ok though. We're used to it by now.

Because every country next to them wants to destroy Israel more or less.
There's no "less" about it. Benjamin Netanyahu famously (and somberly) said, "If the Arabs laid down their weapons, there would be no more war. If Israel laid down her weapons, there would be no more Israel."
I don't think we've had to worry about the Mexican army raiding our towns since around the time of the Alamo.
Francisco "Pancho" Villa, as late as 1919, si man. Regarding this, Google is our friend. Also, Tejas (the spelling at the time of the Alamo) wasn't a state yet, so they weren't really "our" towns, technically.

Israel "gets a pass" because of one reason: The Holocaust. No other justification is needed.

Do they get beat up on this issue?

Villa's last living son, Ernesto Nava, died in Hayward, California, at the age of 94, on December 31, 2009. He didn't reveal his secret to the world until about 15 years before his death. He would appear yearly in festival events in his hometown of Durango, Mexico, enjoying celebrity status, until he became too weak to make the trip anymore.
