Congratulations and best wishes for a great new year. I'm sure you will all be very happy.

Good luck getting social security numbers in time to file your taxes, otherwise get an extension and file after you have their numbers. You should get some great tax breaks.

My wife and I decided to not rush but we will be celebrating our 4th anniversary in 12 days. Now I have to figure out something to do for this one. Yikes!

On our 3rd anniversary a few weeks ago, my wife called her mom and said, "Oh. Yep, you're right. I forgot. Hey, my mom says happy anniversary for us."

And that was about the extent of our 3rd anniversary.

We applied for Alla's SSN exactly three weeks after her arrival and it came in the mail this past Tuesday (about 2 weeks incl. holidays).

Leonid, being a K-2, does not qualify for a SSN until he gets his EAD (he's 2 and will join the work force ASAP)?????

I will apply for a ITIN for him to make him "legal" for filing as my dependent.

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!
