I just looked at my I-129f today cause I got my NOA1 today. I realized that in the I-94 place, (since she was with me when I filled it out) I put the correct entry date which was 12-17-09 but for the expiration date I put 3-17-09 and not 3-17-10.

My fiancee returned to Japan on 12-30 as planned. Will this small mistake be a problem? Should I get ahold of USCIS and fix it?

Hello :)

I really wouldn't worry about that.

I mean, if they really notice it, they will figure it out. Noway you get a RFE for this.

And don't send anything to USCIS about that, it could do more harm than anything else.

Now put your petition copy in a drawer and forget about it until you get your NOA2! :)

Thank you very much! Hope it's not a problem at all!

Don't stress too much :). They know time does not travel backwards :P. If they do not realize it then you are looking at a minor delay for an RFE which as others said, is unlikely. Best wishes and luck on your Visa Journey ahead!

When my fiancee was filing for my visa, she mistakingly filled in my firstname against middlename as against the way they are written in my International Passport-

She wrote: LASTNAME-MIDDLENAME-FIRSTNAME.

Instead of: LASTNAME-FIRSTNAME-MIDDLENAME as in my passport and in my school credentials

Our case is already at the embassy here in Nigeria and my interview is on the 30th of March...

I have already started my medicals and the names are in the correct order here (medical document) as in my passport.

-What can we do to arrest this situation?

-How can we go about it?

Please anybody with info should pass it over...thanks for your helps so far!

My fiance (now husband) made a slightly similar mistake when he filed our I-129F petition. In this case, he wrote part of my first name as my middle name and omitted my actual middle name (in the Philippines, you can have more than one name as a first name - there are some people with five or more "first names"). I do remember filling out the G-325A correctly though. Anyway, all I did was fill out the visa forms (DS forms) for the embassy with my correct name and never had any problems. Now that we've filed our Adjustment of Status (I-485), I made sure to follow my country's naming conventions because I would have to amend my passport and would like all legal documentation to reflect the same exact name.
