I am working on the AOS forms and have a question about Advance Parole. Underneath question 3 it says that if you are applying for an AP document skip to part 7. Does that mean that I do not need to provide information about the proposed trip? We do not have any plans to leave the US at this moment, just want to be safe in case something comes up. I filled in some information for part 3 based on when I think we may travel, but we hope to have our green card by then. I want to be sure that I am leaving nothing blank that needs a response. I looked at the example forms here on VJ and noticed that they have marked the box for where the document should be sent but nothing in the latter sections that were to be skipped for AP. Thanks for any advice.

Thank-you, and do I need to attach the separate sheet explaining that I am obtaining AP for emergency use? I put that in section 4 already but noticed they requested an attachment with further explanation and why I qualify.

No need for details -

We just put - to visit family and planning cruise in the box.

We applied for AP just in case it was needed before the GC.

I haven't heard of anyone being turned down.

John & Nilma
