Best gift from my husband was the first year we were going out and he gave me a World of Warcraft atlas.

You heard me..... a map book for a video game :) at that time, there weren't a lot of websites around for WoW yet or really good guides. I cherished that thing and still refer to it today :)

My boss just walked in here and gave me a gift bag full of hotel conditioners, shampoos and soaps that his girlfriend has been stockpiling from all her trips the last few years... I'm debating on whether I should chuck them out or "secret santa" them onto someone else's desk while they're not looking.

On a nicer note, my husband bought me my very first MP3 player for Christmas. It's nice to have for workouts, walking the dogs, etc. Probably the best most-suited-to-me gift I've had in a couple years :star:

I got the DVD set for Planet Earth.

I've seen bits and pieces of it on TV, and I really liked it.

And I got chocolate.

the 4 year old I babysit gave me a picture of some "dinosaurs" that he drew .. (I use the term dinosaurs loosely because they are really just lines with some other lines added for legs..lol ) he had put the picture in a gift bag and stuffed it with tissue paper.. I thought it was so sweet :)

LoL Udella, I got one of those a couple of years ago from Mel.

This year, I got a new mouse for my computer, the Razer Naga. For you gamers out there, you know how pro that mouse is  I got her a second account on warcraft, wow we can be such nerds.

I think though, all time, my most exciting gift was when I was 7 years old, my parents got me a motorcycle and told me that they had signed me up for a club that raced motocross. Seriously, how can you beat that at 7?

Bowflex, I unfortunately will be working tomorrow as well.

The 'best' Christmas gift I ever got was from my parents in my late teens. We have always had cats and generally got a new kitten when one of our old ones passed away. We adopted one lovely white kitten who used to climb up my side to sit on my shoulder and that was his favourite place. He was very special to me. Unfortunately, it turned out he had feline leukaemia - he probably got it from his mother. At that time there was no test until symptoms presented themselves and no vaccine. It was so sad to watch him die slowly and I cried the day we had to put him to sleep when he began to suffer. Because leukaemia is a virus in cats it meant that we could get no new cats for the family until all of our existing cats had died because any one of them could pass on the virus to a newcomer. That Christmas Mom and Dad had arranged with a woman who made stuffed animals to make me a stuffed fluffy white toy cat that looked just like my beloved Kipling. It was one of the sweetest gifts I have ever received, and I have him still.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
