Hello Vjers,

Today I received an email from NVC sounds like a RFE checklist for my husband.

They put "X" in part 8 Sponsor's Contract- On line 30, the sponsor/joint sponsor has not correctly filled out his/her own name in the blank," I________________,certify..."Honestly I am the one who prepared the I-864 for my husband and I never leave that part. I put his full name. And I re-read for 7 times before I sent it to him.

QUESTIONS:

1.Is that mean, We need to fill-up another I-864 affidavit of support?

2.Do we need to gather again a documents to support for it?

3.Only those " X " we need to response? what about the others?

4.Where we send the RFE response?

we will appreciate any reply...

You only need to send in what they are requesting. You must send it in.

You send the response to the address on the cover sheet of the RFE.

We sort of had the same problem...they sent us an RFE saying we didn't send tax paper when I did. I was so mad! But just send them what they need...it'll help speed up your process!

Did you make a copy before sending it out?

Have a look at your copy, see if that really is missing.

Remember, the I-864 is for the USC Spouse, the

DS-230 is for the Foreign Spouse.

If you got something mixed up or confused on the I-864, putting the Foreign Spouse's Info there, ya well, it can be a problem.

IF the USC Spouse has a copy, suggest he/she fill out another I-864 and send it in.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

In the checklist there is only one [X] in their just only that part 8 and the others are just like this [].meaning to say that's the only RFE we have. And I already sent my DS-230 to NVC and i hope it's not lost. It's already 3 weeks from the day i sent my documents overnight.

Thanks guyz....
