I may have missed this somewhere but I did look all over for an answer before posting. Is the NSC no longer processing the I-129F? I looked at the timeline link above just to get an idea, and it isn't even listed as an option on the list...

AOS/EAD/AP:

Apr. 24 2007: AOS/EAD/AP Sent to Chicago Lockbox

Apr. 25 2007: AOS/EAD/AP Arrived at Chicago

Apr. 30 2007: NOA1 for AOS/EAD/AP

May 02 2007: AOS/EAD/AP Cheques cashed

May 03 2007: AOS/EAD/AP Touched

May 22 2007: RFE

May 25 2007: Biometrics for EAD

May 29 2007: EAD Touched

Jun. 06 2007: Biometrics for AOS Completed at the same time as EAD

Jun. 08 2007: RFE sent back

Jun. 11 2007: RFE Rec'd

Jun. 13 2007: AOS Touched

However you must still submit your petition to NSC as per the instructions on the I-129F form.

They will forward it to CSC

I dont know what would happen if you sent it directly to CSC, but wouldnt chance it until there is clear and concise instructions to do that from USCIS.

I dont know what would happen if you sent it directly to CSC, but wouldnt chance it until there is clear and concise instructions to do that from USCIS.

I've read about people who have filed with the wrong service center. I don't recall exactly what happened, but it sure causes unnecessary delay on the process.

It's a little bit discouraging to find that out because to me it seems like it will take even longer to process if it's being sent to another SC that already has apps of its own to process. Does anyone have any experiece with this and whether or not it's taking longer?

K1 Journey:

April 13/06 NOA1 from NSC

June 1/06 - Moved to CSC

August 12/06 APPROVED - NOA2!!

August 28/06 Left NVC. . . Vancouver Bound!

September 27/06 Interview APPROVED, with visa in hand

October 29/06 Moving Date

December 30/06 Married!!

AOS Journey:

January 16/07 Sent out AOS, EAD, and AP docs

January 23/07 NOA1's for AOS, EAD and AP

February 13/07 Biometrics in Portland, OR

April 7/07 EAD and AP Received

April 24/07 Interview Scheduled . . . and APPROVED, stamp and all!

May 7/07 Greencard is in my hands!

ROC Journey:

February 17/09 Sent I-751 to CSC

February 18/09 NOA1

March 14/09 Biometrics appt.

April 22/09 Date of Approval!!

June 25/09 Greencard arrives in the mail!

Texas and Nebraska service centers are no longer processing I129fs. They're trying to implement specialized service centers, thus the transfer of the cases. CSC is known as a slow service center and has always been. I guess they're taking even a bit extra time to process the petitions because they'ven been caught off guard with the IMBRA thing. I guess they'll adjust as times passes and they'll go back to normal, which isn't super fast.

It doesn't really work that way... But be prepared for a long, long wait. I suggest you take a look at the other threads that have something to do with CSC NOA1 and CSC RFEs for more info.
