Oh, for God's sake....it's a restaurant, not a strip club.

And, of course, they never see anything like it anywhere they ever go, in movies, videos, tv, etc.

Maybe so, but she really should have known better. If parents want to take their kids to Hooters, then fine, I guess. This was a school-sponsored event. Did she really not consider that some people might have a problem with it?

:ot2:

I agree Jenn. I mean personally, I don't see a huge problem with them eating at Hooters. It's a restaurant, and as stated already, it's not like the HIGH SCHOOLERS hadn't see girls in short shorts and short t-shirts before. I mean I assume they have all gone to public swimming pools right!?

But I agree that the teacher should have known better!

I want to be a school teacher on a field trip in Brazil! When can I start that job, and take the group of students to the beach!

They will want to stay away from every beech in Brazil.

Come to think of it they would have totally forgo a trip to Brazil

Off to Brazil for 24 days next week, as more then one person has said, Brasil is just one big Hooters restaurant.

True, she is retiring. But think about it. While it doesn't really matter in the long run since this was her last semester, she's -in effect- leaving in disgrace. You wouldn't want that after however many years she's worked.

Disgrace? You would have to be retarded to ignore a whole career based on this incident, oh wait, this is America.

Seriously though, if the school district do erase her career because of this, they should be ashamed of themselves but I doubt they will. Just because this appears as some ridiculous and sensational article, it doesn't mean this is how most people feel about her, or her career and it will probably not lead to her 'leaving in disgrace'.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Okay, fair enough. Agreed most people probably agree that this is a silly situation. All I know is that if I was here, I wouldn't want this as my last splash for my entire career. Of course most people wont remember this, but she will and she's definitely not leaving the system in a positive way.
