You do that Dave.

The funny thing is that you probably don't give two shits about Berlusconi either way.

I will as surely you'll wail about on how commentator X lead some nut to attack politician X.

Probably right on not particularily caring about Berlusconi or his policies but I don't snicker at an elected leader getting put in the hospital for holding an office he was elected to. The funnier it is to people like you, another clown will try another stunt like that.

Put it on a personal level, surely there are people in your life who'd love to see you get your azz whipped and get a chuckle at seeing you bleed profusely. There's some sickos that never outgrew the cartoon phase of slip and falls/slapstick and more realistic the action the better.

Perhaps you can add a note in Danno's thread too. Oh, I know he's naught but a scientist, not in the same league as an elected politician but nonetheless...

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Wow too bad they couldn't have just voted the creep out of office.

They did.

This is the second coming.

Imagine if, a few years after Watergate that Nixon got voted back into office. That's Berlusconi for you.

True that. Quite the azzhat and all. I just think what happened, deserved or not, was inappropriate.

Oh sure. I got a chuckle out of it though.

Less blood perhaps... or a shoe instead of something so dangerous... then I'd be humored.

But you gotta love the 'you people' comments.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

I'm not sure if the problem here is that you are taking the thread too seriously, or if I am not taking it seriously enough.

What do you think Dave?

Expect the replacement teeth to be so white that when Berli smiles it will look like an alien abduction from the X-Files.

Of course there's always hope that he will get a gold one put in ;)

Then he could go and star in some Rocco vids.

Violence usually isn't joke for you but you make plenty of exceptions. I went over the public policy reasons why this isn't a good example for the public but hate can override the better angels of our nature.

ALC, if you were able to properly recall a single of Berlusconi's policies I'd take your outrage seriously. But you can't, without the aid of google or your trusty wikipedia, so I won't. False outrage is fail.

The point wasn't what his policies are or were, you mindless #######. Please post all your wonderful reasons why democratically elected leaders deserve to be assaulted and maybe you'll finally get the credit you desperately desire.

Attacker Breaks Berlusconi's Nose

OB-FB883_BERLUS_D_20091213193537.jpg

By STACY MEICHTRY

Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi was rushed to the hospital Sunday evening with a fractured nose and bloodied lip after a man threw a statuette at the premier's face from close range at the end of a political rally.

Mr. Berlusconi had been shaking hands with supporters in a dense crowd when a man wielding a statuette broke through the crush of people and assaulted the premier. Mr. Berlusconi's bodyguards hustled the premier into the back of a car while police detained the attacker, identified as 42-year-old Massimo Tartaglia. Police said Mr. Tartaglia didn't have a criminal record.

Mr. Berlusconi, 73, will remain in charge of Italy's government while he is in the hospital.

Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi is being rushed away after a man struck him in the face in a Milan square.

A billionaire media mogul with a penchant for making controversial public statements, he has long been one of the most polarizing figures in Europe's political landscape. Sunday's attack, however, shows how tensions in Italy are running higher than ever.

"This hurts the country," said Paolo Bonaiuti, a spokesman for Mr. Berlusconi's conservative government. "What worries us is the climate of violence."

Yet again, displaying your ignorance. The point is that your fake indignation is quite sad. I dont' think anyone here can, or even was attempting to argue that throwing a shoe, or punching an elected official is any sort of proper reaction to their policies as an elected official. The funny part is that you seem to take great umbrage to others not having any sympathy towards it. If you were walking down the street, and someone kicked you in the nuts.... that's an inappropriate response, but would I laugh my #### off at you? Absolutely. It's called schadenfreude, look it up some time.
