We finally received our NOA2 yesterday! It took 116 days but we are so happy!

Good luck to the few that are still waiting!

Congratulations!

Before Journey:

Met online in 2002 as friends. Fell in love in 2005. Got engaged in 2010.

K-1 Journey, January 2010-July 2010:

NOA1: January 29. RFE: April 21. NOA2: June 4. Interview: July 15. Visa in hand: July 20. POE: July 22.

July 24, 2010: Married in front of 150 of our loved ones on a beautiful, sunny day. Living happily ever after and oh so thankful that 5 years of a long distance relationship and 7 months of a visa process is condensed into one line.

Wedding pictures! Because I'm shameless. http://s956.photobucket.com/albums/ae47/AmeriDaneWedding/

Adjustment of Status Journey, January 2011-March 2011:

January 25: NOA1 for AOS and EAD. Feb 5: Bio appointment received. Feb 7: RFE. Feb 11: Sent RFE response. Feb 23: AOS transfered to CSC. Feb 25: Biometrics. March 11: EAD approved! March 19: Received EAD. March 21: AOS approved! March 25: GC in hand!

And we'll live happily ever after.. for the next 2 years, anyway.

It would be helpful if you provided dates when various things happened. Without understanding the time line, it is challenging to determine if there is a problem, or where the problem may exist. For example, if your calls were made to USICS, and your Congressman and lawyer were all contacted last week, there is no problem: It takes a couple of weeks for these contacts to generate results.

Did you receive any requests for additional information from USICS? Vermont is processing about four to five weeks behind California.

Your lawyer should be driving this process for you. After all, the lawyer is being paid to be your advocate. :bonk:

Good luck!

yup we did. submitted the I-129f application on january 15 and we received the noa1 january 19, touched on january 22. and that was the last time it has been touched. the congressman's immigration lawyer is the one who talked to my bf. and he told him that he'll get back at him. and no we didn't receive any from them since january. i will be happy if we receive any info or action from USCIS. my bf contacted the USCIS twice and he didnt recieve any good answers from them.

Yeah, I called the immigration specialist at my congressman's office today and she said they hadn't even worked on the case yet. Sheesh. I wouldn't have sent it in express if I knew they'd be taking their sweet time like VSC does.

Wow...pokey processing! I faxed my letter to the Congressman's office. So it arrived immediately, and had a chance to cool for about a week before they got to it. Still, I can not complain, because it moved the process along for me.

Today, the Princess is looking at hotels in Moscow, for when she has the medical exam. This will be done about a month before the interview, so the "interview week" will be less busy. B-)

I wish, but nope, nada. They seem to be completely asleep when it comes to RFEs. I thought an RFE meant approval was soon, but it's been a month now. :(

Hehe, do you think a congressman would listen to you complain about the lack of work in another congressman's office? That would be awesome. My next move is complaining to Obama.. you can't keep my petition forever, VSC!
