I'm considering baking cookies tomorrow. How many different kinds are you making?

My list is:

Peanut butter blossom

Chocolate chip

White chocolate chip

Mint chocolate chip

Soft molasses

Thumbprint

Shortbread

Gingerbread

Sugar

Snickerdoodles

For the shortbread? I'm trying out a new one posted on the Canada forums:

Whipped Shortbread Cookies

Ingredients:

1 lb soft butter

1 cup 10X sugar (icing sugar)

1/2 cup corn starch

3 cups flour

1tbsp vanilla

1/2 tsp. almond extract

MoP:

Beat butter until creamy. Add remaining ingredients until well blended. Drop by tsp full on baking sheet 2 inches apart (like you would chocolate chip cookies).

Top with candied cherries or sprinkles.

Bake at 300 for 10 minutes. Cookies should be set but not brown.

Update on the redhead

The poor soul had a frozen shoulder a while back, for going all kookoo on Advanced Yoga (don't ask). About a month ago, the should became a problem again. TWO days ago, he announces he needs to see a Dr. (not like I didn't offer to make an appointment THREE WEEKS AGO ) --- so, one would have thought that working here, at the home of the alledged best hospital in the state [as fvcking if], they would see the dude quickly, right??? "ohai, next appointment is January 20"

Sooooo... being the devoted wife that I am, I told them to go ** themselves and made him an appt. with a Greg Nakamoto at Virginia Mason (IR5, get cracking on background plz) for yesterday. He goes, gets X-rayed, bla bla. Does not ask for pain meds (like, dude #######). Nothing on Xrays, might be a soft tissue thing, plz come back on Monday for an MRI (hello expensive) and on Thursday to see Dr. Nakamoto again.

I am not happy. What kind of an idiot does nto give a frozen shoulder patient at least Tylenol for fvsk sake.

I used to go to Roosevelt for Internal Medicine; but my doc, that IR5 used to call Marie Curatore, went back to Stanford

Now I will look into getting someone new. But not at UW; I've had it.

My husband hates going to the doctor - HATES. I keep telling him he needs to get his titer test done, but he won't. Drives me nuts.

But yeah, I recommend Virginia Mason or Group Health in Bellevue - have had good experiences with both.
