Beloved and Blessed SisterSand! MERRY CHRISTMAS! Did you guys get megaburied with the snow this past weekend? We were crushed!

I posted some pictures of AAm last Sat, taken during the snowstorm...if you want a laff you can go back and take a look  Hope you guys are doing alright!

Peace - B

where are the pix posted B? Would love to see them

Yes we got slammed .....20"

Nearly 2 feet and "supposedly" the second largest snowfall we EVER had.

Fortunately, tho it was a mess (and I am not much for snow), we made out just fine and the cities really did a great job of getting the roads

cleared out PRONTO! It really didnt hinder me except for Saturday once it really starting coming down, then I resorted to the fact that indeed, I was stranded for the day. I had so much shopping to do but thanks the LORD it is getting done.

We stayed in baked cookies and went out every few hours to shovel and dust off the vehicle.

Will the kids be visiting you this holiday ?

Sandy, of course not. I think it is Baal worship.

I have missed you , too.

Good Morning SleepingBeautyAmby...glad you're well on your way to recovery...will you be 'up and about' for Christmas Day?

So, whats UP wit C4C....yesterday we were the 'pro-drug C4C' and today were the 'anti-Chip' C4C! Don't you commies realize that those two things go together...its called the Munchies! :bonk:

;-)

Note to self: I'll know it is the day of the True Apocalypse when the C4C goes 'anti-coffee' :help:

I am sorry I have missed so much chatting and banter

you are all jolly and full of cheer I see :D

 i go through chips like it is going out of style. i can easily eat family size bags in less than 48 hours. the salt intake alone is not good for me.

y'all talk about chips so much that I have been incessantly eating them too for the last couple weeks now

usually I could give a hoot about em

i had my bangle fill when i had to wear them for at least 90 days after our wedding

you don't wear them anymore?

I remember loving that part of the deal

you marry me

you HAVE to wear the adornments...

mangla sutra....bangles.....toe rings

LOVE IT :luv:

Yeah Bishop we are :star: ... we were just talking about that too. When I see other couples arguing & stuff I always think how lucky we are that we get along so well with so little problems.

We exchanged gifts today so we could play with the blackberry lol

you are lucky

and some are not accustomed to Christmas American style

it doesn't always bring out the best in peeps :(

It's kind of hard to get into the mood when the IRS sends you a notice that you owe them a ton of money that you don't have, you send them a response with proof that you don't owe it, and they merely knock off $300 and tell you "you're welcome". Not even a reach around. I've never been into the holidays since I was about 15 or so. This year is just really stressful.

rob

it hasn't been so great for me either

hubby certainly doesn't have the Christmas cheer......yet

oh wait

i see

i am talking too much guys

all the sudden I am talking to myself

tried to mail you

sorry it has been too long

clear the way if you can sista

I like the holidays because I love seeing the boys all excited because of Santa & everything.

I have some sketchy family members who try to make Christmas a catastrophe every year but I don't let them get to me, they can't ruin it if I don't let them.

We're eating leftovers from last night... adobo de cerdo (pork) with rice. We ate all the fried yucca last night LOL

would love to come to your house for din din ;)

Christmas lost it's luster for me when I really got to see the materialistic side of it. I guess when you are a kid, its just exciting and fun. But when you get older and are forced to deal with the melodrama of it all, it really becomes a hastle. Like friends from college getting upset at you because you didn't send out chirstmas cards, or a cousin pissed off because she spent $80 on my present and I paid half of that for hers. I just got so sick of it all and pulled back from it all years ago. But now, with my niece and nephew getting to really like christmas, and my wife loves the holidays, it's even harder. I feel more and more guilty about not enjoying it. I try, but I really can't hide my dislike, and that just upsets the wife. Add this to the fact that the IRS are trying to suck every penny out of my pay cheque, and the debt from buying a bunch of presents you can't really afford to buy, and I am really at my wits end. I really want to like christmas, but It's just so stressful.

Edit: Bishop, the tax that they say I owe, technically I do owe it. I cashed out a small 401K that I had with a job that I only had for a short time. It was only a $3K disbursement, and at the time I paid taxes on the disbursement. Aparently, I was supposed to pay some other tax on it.[/color] I got the notice and while going through my documents, I realized that I didn't include the deduction for my student loans that year, which would drop the tax I owed on the disbursement down to like $80. But the IRS only accepted a partial deduction and rather than drop it down to $80, only dropped it down to $1,000. :sigh:

Rob

happened to my BFF....she is still paying out the ####### for that

sorry to hear about your troubles

i am also not in the best financial situation but somehow, every year I get by

I am with you on the commercialism and stressfulness of it

I am already over it

I have so much to do when really I would rather rest, relax and just give the kids money

hubby could careless but doesn't mind a gift or two

I completely relate to pretty much all that. Peoples' expectations are not my responsibility though, so their disappointment is theirs and theirs only.

I bought wrist warmers for the family here. 80 bux total, and that's that. Hell, we're not even going to the xmas dinner anyway.

Len, one thing I like about you is you tell it like it is

Good you don't harbor too much guilt over other people's ....whatever

still don't know why I kill myself at Christmas

when in India I learned some of life's biggest and important lessons as well as life's gifts

I learned to take it easy more....breathe....it will be a'ight

I learned how live very meagerly and give up my worldly possessions and be happy without em

stayed out of the stores 95% of the time

and THANKED GOD for what I did have, which was more than what alot in this world do

Of course once a few years have passed being back in our wonderful country

I am back to being edgy and ready to rip someone's head off

lol

yummy what kind?

i see I am just entertaining myself

no one wants to talk to me
