Come to think of it, people always pass judgement on Latin guys too. The only stereotype Luis fits is the whole 'soccer obsession' thing. He's not jealous or controlling. He even cleans. I don't let him cook though because, well I like good food.

I want to have a wine party after I have the baby. :star: I like to drink. Actually, I would make it a sangria party. Whooo! How about 5 de Mayo? Perfect.

Bishop - how was the wine party?

It was wonderful...AAm really outdid herself with the Thai food...and then everyone came over (30 people) with 2 bottles of wine. The tasting went well and I ended up with about 10 bottles left open, and 10 unopened bottles which are now in my 'collection'....

The winning wine was from the Duoro wine valley, in Spain...

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

BTW... I HATE the American women bashing on this forum, I HATE IT.

I don't see anything wrong with American women... in general, we're educated, hard workers who sacrifice everything for our kids. I raised two kids on my own for 3 years while putting myself through college, working full time and paying rent. & my mother has done it now for almost 17 years. I had no other choice, my ex was a loser who didn't want to take care of us, partying and snorting it up with his friends was his priority. But hey, my ex was American and he wasn't a super guy, but I'm not going to sit here and use that as a reason to bash American men!

Really, I took you more for the Zack Morris type.

whoa apparently you're the only person in this thread who wasn't aware of my affair with Mario Lopez.

Yes, I don't like it either. I think some men are afraid to have an assertive woman in their life and have a misconception that women from the FSU and Asia are submissive and "easy to mold" which makes me sick. If Zhan wasn't a head strong, proactive woman, I don't think I could have a relationship. Not to say I want to be dominated either, I just need someone that can think and be independent but still work as a "team" with me. I've dated plenty of American women and women from other countries, yes their are differences good and bad but nothing that made me say "I need to have this type of woman.". But to me it seems like a lot (not all) the guys in my portal and other ones are shopping for a wife like they would a car or appliance

submissive hell, I have not won a single argument since Jean got here. Now which drawer are my socks in this week???

I'm not saying that everyone thinks this way. But it does seem to be a kind of prevalent thought from men in these forums/portals. Which is a shame for women that come from these areas that do not resemble anything like these steryotypes.

I was told when I first signed up on VJ that Zhanna had "Connections" to get her a tourist visa. No, she went to school graduated top of her class, owned her own apt, car, etc... She had a great job and plenty of ties to Russia. She wanted me to move to

Russia at first, we decided that America was a better plan for both of us.

I always get asked "How'd you get her a tourist visa?" I answer, I didn't get it she did.

She made a lot of homemade things (springrolls, a big dash of phillipino food with peanut sauces, some kind of KingShrimpSoup (I had to peel 100 shrimp!..and a lot more)...but she also one thing that was new...I don't know how to explain it actually, but it was like a ThaiShrimp&SeafoodFajita...but the shell was paper-thin and made out of 'rice-paper'....so it was transparent and you could see all the seafood inside...it was amazing, quite the hit!
