Dismantle the Lebanese Army

What kind of country keep taking a beating from a foreign Forces without firing back a single Bullet?

Isn't the role of an army to defend the people, as such if the army is only there for SHOW, should it be converted into a civilian police force and have the United nation providing security?

IF you kill my family, all my siblings, do i have to cross my arm and say Thank you, or don't you think I have a right to fight back if the opportunity present itself?

Can a foreign Forces tell you to get out of your house, To move on somewhere else and later on that land, house will be part of some form of SETTLEMAN, EXPANSION whatever people like to call it?

With this picture below of these family grieving for the lost of their love ones, isn't that going grow these family these family into fighting back if given the chance, then they will be called terrorist, Hatred and revenge will grow more hatred, maybe it's a brother, a father, or son who got killed by a Terrorist State? Under so called colateral damage, what's the difference between those murdereres and a terorrist murder?

Maybe Lebanon doesn't want to inflame the situation and kill even more civilians? Israel and Lebanon fought a long war against each other in the 1980's and I'm sure it weighs heavy in the Lebanese mind. Yesterday on CNN the Lebanese PM said that if Israel mounted a ground attack they would strike with the Lebanese army full force. Now the Israeli army is lining up troops and tanks on the border - who knows what the morning will bring.

I too questioned why Lebanon was not counter-attacking, they could easily use the same rhetoric as Israeli (defending a sovereign state etc. etc.) They are in a tough place. If they fight back then they are said to be siding with Hezbollah, if they sit back there may be nothing left of their country with hundreds or thousands of citizens dead. Between a rock and a hard place...

I thought it was odd too. Where is the Army? What I really want to know is why do the people put up with the terrorist groups who are rocketing Israel? Did they think Israel would just take it? Where are the protests in the street like when our pal Gorbachev was taken by political thugs? For that matter where are the Israelis and Lebonese people on both sides petitioning their governments. It is like the civilians are just rolling over and letting these bruts (on both sides) do as they will.

The Lebanese army is not in the South, well maybe a few hundred troops at the most.

If it was in control of its own territory it would be reasonable to assume there would be no current issues.
