Time between IV Fee bill with AOS bill and I-864/DS-230 packet

Hi guys,

I have paid the fee on 30th of OCT and payment accepted on Nov 03. Today is Nov 19. I still haven't been contacted by NVC. Should I call them up? Whats is the normal time it takes between bill payment and sending us the forms.

Also, I am doing E-mail processing. Why would it take so long for them to email me the forms?

Call them as soon as possible and indicate same to them. Most people that use the electronic filing process with NVC, still send off the postal mail with the forms.

Thanks for quick reply. Just to clarify. I haven't got DS-230 or I-864 from them. On the online payment step, they asked me to wait till they contact me. I sent my DS-3032 by email. Then they asked me to pay the IV bill.

They got that before they told me to pay IV bill. Also, forgot to add, the automated message say "the packet of information was generated on Nov 3rd, and will be sent withing few weeks"

They don't email any forms to you. You will need to visit the link provided in the receipt page from when you made your payment. You will get a cover sheet as well to print off. You can get the forms from the Department of State Website.

Since you have paid both fees, after you fill out both sets of forms (AOS and IV) you can send them in together. I think they prefer it that way from the phone calls I've made. They tell you to wait until they contact you but we got an RFE because we were waiting for them to generate our IV bill before sending in the ds230. When I called they told me to just send everything in. All that happens if a payment isn't there yet is they wait for the payment before they process documents. And what happens if you have paid and alot of time passes before they get documents from you, is they will send you an e-mail asking you to send in the documents.

Just make sure you have the coversheets that have the barcode on them attached to each set of paperwork and the supporting documents and you're good to go.

Thanks... just quick question...what is RFE? also, I am doing the e-mail processing with scanned documents. Do I need to mail or go by email only.
