For White brother, Danno. Please decipher these statistics with your magic decoder ring.

Some of the statistics might be cooked. But that's really beside the point. The real question is, if all this is true, why do we have affirmative action and all of these pro-minority programs? Why don't we help whites more? Seems like they are the ones having a hard time.

For instance, when I was in college I tried to apply for scholarships. For every scholarship that a white male can apply for, there are ten for a black woman, at least.

Puerto Ricans have been citizens of the United States since a law was passed in 1917. Even though they are citizens, Puerto Ricans pay no federal income tax and they can not vote for president. Unrestricted U.S. migration of Puerto Ricans has made New York City the one place with the most Puerto Ricans anywhere in the world (over one million).

Since Puerto Rico is an unincorporated territory and not a U.S. state, the U.S. Constitution does not fully enfranchise US citizens residing in Puerto Rico. Since 1917, people born in Puerto Rico are U.S. citizens. As such, they are entitled to vote at the federal level, but not from the island, as the territory is not incorporated. The legal restriction to vote at the federal level extends only to the territory, not to its citizens. In this fashion, all U.S. citizens can vote at the federal level from any part of the world or incorporated territories of the U.S. By the same token, no U.S. citizen may vote at the federal level if they reside in Puerto Rico, although they can vote at the "state" (local) level.

Yep. A geographical limitation of residence.

Post returned following removal of quote containing TOS violation:

You might want to check out the Jones-Shafroth Act before you call someone a nasty name.

Imagine a VJ without all that extra, repetitive, predictable, work... *sigh*

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.
