:help: hi every one.

my fiancee got her package 3 and now im in the process of filling out my affidavit of support. i just have a few questions about this form. i know theres a bunch of post about this topic but i always find myself confused. anyway, about the I-134, well heres what i got so far regarding to the supporting documents. 2 previous tax return including W2 , pay stubs (maybe 3 including recent), letter from employer (dont have it yet, but im in the process of acquiring it),and im not sure about the letter from the bank because when it comes to savings i dont have that much so i dont know if its gonna matter. i check the poverty guidlines and does it matter if i made it last year but not the year before that? is this good enough or do i need some more? and what else can i use as a supporting document?

my most important questios is, after all this is done, where does it go to? do i send it straight to my fiancee or should it go somewhere else?

thanks in advance.. and congrats to those couples who are finally together..(F)

If you did enough money in your last income tax report, you don't need a co-sponsor. You will need to send copy of your last pay stubs (last 6 months). The bank letter is optional.

I don't know how the american consulate work in your country, but if they specify your fiancée to send the documentation back to the consulate in order to get the appointment assigned, you have to send that information to the consulate or to your fiancee and your fiancee can send them or deliver them to the consulate directly. Because she/he needs to file the DS230, DS156 and DS156K forms too. In Mexico for example it is an open appointment and you don't need to send anything back to the consulate. You only have to get that paperwork together and bring them with you to the interview...

Probably if you check the K1 reviews for your country you can get a clearer idea of what I am talking about http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/

good luck

The important thing is that you make more than the guidelines NOW, no tlast year or the year before. Send it all to your fiancee. Bank letters are optional.

Yes, Gary is right. I did not include a bank letter as well. Just included a copy of my saving and listed the current savings amount on my 1-134. But, my income was above the poverty line so I did not even have to include that. Here is what I included.

-letter from employer

-copies of W2's with tax returns for the past 3 years

-2 or 3 paystubs

and of course the 1-134 and the new form doesn not need to be notarized. Tax transcripts are not required as long as you have copies of your W2. Really don't know why its such a big deal to get tax transcripts when they are just ditto to your W2's. :) I read a post here and visa applicant was submitting her transcripts to the consulate and they said they did not want that and just asked her for a copy of her tax return with W2.

Read the I-134 instruction, under Supporting Evidence, it’s not that you don’t have much checking and or savings that counts. You could have only 5 bucks in your account, what they are trying to establish is financial stability. A bank statement from an officer of the bank or other financial institution where you have deposits. Read under part A. 2. Total amount deposited for the past year; and 3. Present balance.

Unlike previous post from a member saying it’s optional I would include the statement from your bank, the more arrows in your quiver the better off you’ll be especially on a K-1 from the PI.

A copy of your savings and listing current savings would be a statement from a financial institution. As per the I-134!

We just finished with the embassy in Manila so I can tell you what I sent.....

3 years tax transcripts with W-2's

letter from your boss with date hired, annual salary etc. My letter is just 4 lines long.....keep it simple and to the point.

3 or 4 recent pay stubs

The filled out I-134

Copy of her 797, NOA2 approval notice

I also sent copies of the embassy letter and NVC letter, I dont think it is necessary.......

If you meet/exceed the poverty limits then no need for the bank letter. I sent just a copy of my most recent statement mainly to show I have an account, address etc. PURELY OPTIONAL

Send the package to HER, FEDEX, DHL, UPS etc. ie. TRACKABLE. She will take with her to the embassy for her interview where the package will be reviewed.

Hope this helps, if you want a more detailed process for the medical, interview etc just ask.......good luck
