Yeah, it sound a little barbaric but we gotta respect all cultures (or so we are told by the Left)

Saudi court upholds child rapist crucifixion ruling

Tue Nov 3, 2009 2:22pm IST

RIYADH (Reuters) - A Saudi court of cassation upheld a ruling to behead and crucify a 22-year-old man convicted of raping five children and leaving one of them to die in the desert, newspapers reported on Tuesday.

The convict was arrested earlier this year after a seven-year old boy helped police in their investigation. The child left in the desert after the rape was three years old, Okaz newspaper said.

International rights groups have accused the kingdom, the birthplace of Islam, of applying draconian justice, beheading murderers, rapists and drug traffickers in public. So far this year about 40 people have been executed in Saudi Arabia.

In Saudi Arabia, crucifixion means tying the body of the convict to wooden beams to be displayed to the public after beheading.

You think anyone else is going to be stupid enough to try something like this again. Saudi Arabia is one of the safest countries I have visited. I would let a five year old play outside and unsupervised, no questions asked.

To the contrary, I wouldn't let an adult hang out here, without supervision.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Charles already posted this story. Seems like the medieval folk are out in force tonight ;)

Lets have a look at the oppsite approach that plagues the UK.

surprise surprise..

UK is violent crime capital of Europe

The United Kingdom is the violent crime capital of Europe and has one of the highest rates of violence in the world, worse even than America, according to new research.

By Richard Edwards, Crime Correspondent

Analysis of figures from the European Commission showed a 77 per cent increase in murders, robberies, assaults and sexual offences in the UK since Labour came to power.

The total number of violent offences recorded compared to population is higher than any other country in Europe, as well as America, Canada, Australia and South Africa.

UK has always had a higher proportion of assaults. What we do not have, however are the sorts of massive murder rates that you get here.

concur

Now, you think this would still be the case if they had Singapore's preferred method of punishment. My guess is that within 6 months, they too would end up ranked one of the lowest in the world.

When martial law is declared, crime drops to zero. That doesn't mean its a good regime to live under.

Because Americans have the balls to kill people they don't like instead of beating them up like they do in the UK.

Personally I think a lot of that has to do with the wide availability of guns in the US.

Mostly when BY posts these sorts of violent crime figures from the UK, it turns out that the violent crimes basically boil down to 90% bar room brawling versus 10% pre meditated criminal activity.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Or pussies and need to use weapons.
