Did that attorney also tell you that monsters live in your closet?

Seriously. It amazes me at what these lawyers tell people.

NOTHING an attorney lies about to protect his own interests amazes me. That people PAY to listen to it amazes me.

No this is not true. You have given the case candling privileges to your attorney, therefore the attorney is in a "superior" position to handle everything + their degree comes into effect every time they get a case. Now, if you were to call USCIS and tell the attorney of any updates before he/she knows about them, your are doing their job for them. It's a pride thing. Also cause it's to do with immigration, they get away with saying stuff like that, as they know you will not do it again, if fear of any delay.

Every time you make the call it gets marked, it's to show you have called, so that there is pattern and its recorded. No, the case will not get delayed. I called NVC and asked them this question; they said not, it has no bearing on your case.

IF calling them speeded up the process, then their line would be forever busy. My attorney said don't call too many times as it get marked and looks bad on her, f that!

With this situation you want to know of any update asap. You won't wait for your attorney, no matter how much you have paid them.

Best of Luck. Best wishes. Thank you.

I agree with this post, but there is one more level of motivation for the attorney not to tell you to call USCIS:

When you call USCIS you pay nothing. Every time you call your attorney, Ka-Ching!
