i see from your timeline that you didnt get your K1 visa yet , so once you recieve it you can travel to the US get married once your married you can file for adjust of status ( AOS ) when you file for AOS you can include the aplication for travel /AP and also the aplication for the emplyment authorization ,

( AP = advanced parol its the same thing as the so called travel document ) you cant leave the states without an AP you need it to get back to the US ,

you dont have to file for it when you have your green card ,you wont need it once GC is recieved

( AOS is the Green card aplication ) so when you file AOS after your wedding make sure you file for AP/ travel document and employment authorization at the same time

you can read the guids on top click on AOS it will show you the process what you have to do once you are here and got married

Thanks for replying.

AP is not the same as Travel Document. AP is a piece of paper (letter) that basically allows you to enter the US along with your passport. A travel document, or better said, Re-entery Permit looks like a passport. I just researched and realized that you need to have a Green Card in order to apply for a re-entry permit.

I also just found out that AP is valid for one year. Can it be used for multiple entries?

Do you Guys know if a Fiancée can get a Travel document instead of AP? or it has to be after the green card is received?
