burn barrells.

..or again. have the government make the plumbers charge a realistic price for their services. instead of: let the gouging continue & force everyone to pay for it & act as if they are doing us a favor.

The Mayor comes out to your neighborhood and says as a matter of principle, he will not intervene on your behalf. He encourages you to make it all work out for yourselves without any government help.

You can't burn sewage without some kind of sophisticated equipment costing hundreds of thousands, possibly millions of dollars.

i'd tell him 'do the job you were elected to do. serve the citizens & not the plumbers union & supply houses that funded his campain'...then light the barrel.

The Mayor says he's standing on the principles of freedom and liberty. He's not involving himself with the plumbers union or anyone else. He believes he was elected to stand up for those principles and not just do what is popular. In fact, he says he's done you and your neighbors a favor by cutting you off from the pipeline because now you won't be taxed for sewage.

Can I rent a johnny on the spot?

Sure. But that doesn't solve your problem with your gray water from showers, dishes and clothes.

...your sewage line was cut beyond your property and you could no longer use your toilet or let your gray water (shower, sink, dishwasher, clothes washer) go down the drain?

I'd become really good friends with the neighbors on the other side of the cut, take a bath there.

For clothes washing - off to the washeteria

Stop using the sink.

Incoming water OK? Can still make coffee / tea.

As for a WC, uhmmmmm - dig out the BoyScout Manual, turn to page 76, learn how to make a latrine in yer backyard.

Good Luck !

So seriously... if the city doesn't want to do anything I'd be well on my way out to a farm where I can take my fecal matter, ferment it away from the house, and use it to fertilize my crops. Then I'd sell my robust organics to the townspeople.

Anyone with me on this?

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

excuse me mr. mayor i'm going back inside. it stinks out here, do you have any plans to clean this up. after all, you let the plumbers cause this mess.

The plumbers are entrepreneurs and I would encourage you to use your entrepreneurial spirit to solve this problem. He shows you the city's manifesto which embraces rugged individualism and abhors government mettling in people's sh!t.

You soon find out the neighbors have no sewage drainage either. Nowhere within reasonable distance do you have access to plumbing with drainage.

What would you do?

Take up a collection from yer neighbors, cause ya all need:

1. porta-potty

2. porta-shower

then set up a schedule for using the shower.

Keep a running tab on all expenses - give copies of the bills with an invoice to pay, to the folksen that cut it.

The Mayor praises your ingenuity and your entrepreneurial spirit. Unfortunately, time is of the essence as many children and elderly have become deathly ill from the unsanitary conditions.

You might have a marketing problem with that - as people would be eating the product of your own waste and your house would be infamous for its godawful stench.

Question: is there a body of fresh water near by?

I am thinking about what Homer did with all that pig waste.

Spider pig, spider pig, does what spider pig does.

Nope.

Is your property near by? That will work just as well.

Since the crisis began, I've been guarding my property with my small arsenal. I'll give you one warning shot for you because I like you.

And I responded to the crisis by contacting my Ay-rab friends and buying a bunch of shoulder launched missiles. Boom. lol.
