Of course embassies can be different on how they do things, but when my fiance received his packet3 they enclosed information for 3 different doctors he can choose from to see. You may want to wait until he gets his packet to see if there are any doctors that your embassey prefers him to see. Hope that helps!

You can download the instructions from the consulate website, it will tell you the procedure to make a medical appointment. You do not (and should not) be waiting for packet 3, download it. Russian mail delivery is just not that reliable. Our Ukrainian packet 3 has yet to arrive at our flat in Donetsk...it has been a year and a half! I am beginning to believe it will never arrive, good thing we didn't wait.

medical exam question pertains to the embassy/consulate stage - moving to appropriate forum

I had emailed the consulate about making a medical exam appointment before receiving the letter to download packet 3. I sent it 2 days after they received the package per DHL tracking. Here's their response:

"The file hasn’t reached our desk yet. As soon as we receive it, we will mail the instruction packet to your fianceé and accordingly she can book the medical."

So if we go ahead and book the medical and the date she has the exam is before the date on the letter from the consulate will this be an issue? We are hoping to get in on Nov. 4th (Vancouver) and I would expect that she should receive the letter before then.
