Hi fellow VJ'ers -

Our case is now at the US Embassy in New Delhi and Zahid and I have been got an early start on gathering the documentation needed. I will be sending out a package with the original documentation submitted for the I129F as well as bank statements for the last 3 months, tax return from last year, phone records, IM chats, an updated statement of intent, etc. I know that I need to include a certified copy of my birth certificate. My question is this - is there anything else that I need to send? Not sure if anything else needs to be certified. Please advise.

Thank you,

Margarita

You didn't specifically mention an I-134/Affidavit of Support (and supporting evidence for it).

Don't forget to add/edit your timeline.

Why would you send the Embassy the same docs you submitted with your I-129 when these will be right there in your file at the Embassy?

A copy of your plane tickets,

Boarding passes,

Photo's of you two together,

Receipts with both your names from hotel you stayed while visiting your SO,

Cards,

Letters,

I-134 with supporting docs (which you've already listed), Bank deposit statement from your bank showing no less than One years deposits to date. The printout of deposits are not necessary of course in some cases, but doesn't hurt to include these.

Engagement ring receipt,

Engagement photo's,

Engagement cweremony invitations,

Names, addresses, and phone numbers of Engagement ceremony 'guests' (family and Non-family, at least 5 to 10 each).

Notarized copy of your passport, showing main your indentifying information page, India Visa's, and entry/exit stamps, ( had mine notarized at UPS since the bank couldn't do it).

I probably will think of something more, and will add it when or if I do.

Some of these items were asked of us when our case was placed on Ap and on our 221(g), which Delhi is infamous for. So it's my advice to be ready just in case.

Good luck to you and Zahid. I wish you the best!
