Pretty cool stuff...

I saw this (below) video of a concept cell phone - flip it open and the screen 'inside' doubles when opened. (the video is terrible but when you figure out it's a standard looking cell phone on a mechanical display, that unfolds, it kind of makes sense...) Still some cool possibilities from this technology.

Just took away the pleasure I have in smashing an old TV set or a monitor with a sledge hammer. But can only wonder what happens to that screen or the electronics that fires it, if you get one drop of water on it.

Wife makes fun of me for carrying my cell phone and digital camera in a zip lock bag, but my cell is over five years old. Her latest less than one year old cell phone just crapped out, we have to buy a new one.

Seen some really nice Virgin Mobile and Tracphone you can buy, keep, and setup yourself for 15-40 bucks, but don't work in our home and have very limited coverage. Cell phone company always has a rebate you end up paying sales tax on, want an extra 30 bucks for the two seconds it takes to set it up, and another two year contract that will cost you 150 bucks if you decide to change. Will sell you insurance for 50 bucks a year, for a crappy cell phone that isn't worth two bucks. But they do have the coverage.
