If you are asking can you go change the information on your marriage license, then you can go do it yourself...if thats not the question maybe you should rephrase it and ask again.

Go where to change which? I am uncertain of your question, which document you need to change and where it must be changed. If you are speaking of changing the reference to your MOTHER's name on YOUR marriage certificate, you should be able to do that yourself, bring YOUR birth certificate...translated of course

On the other hand I am trying to determine WHY you want to do this. It offends your mother somehow? A clerical error by the county clerk will not affect your AOS filing. The only names important to USCIS on that certificate are yours and your husbands.

Your mother's name is spelled wrong in your marriage certificate? This is not an issue at all, and yes, your husband is correct. I wouldn't bother having that changed. But if you have the time, not a big deal to change by yourself.
