Well, I wish I knew then what I know now! Based only on this site as a reference -- there were only 5 CR1s scheduled -- and they scheduled like 20-21 K1s just from this site alone -- so I'm probably correct in saying that they've probably played catch up with the K1s but... what about us? Especially some CR1s that have been waiting since june? I would like to see them clear us out too but I think it's highly unlikely as most people take their use it or lose it vacation time in December.

Not aimed at anyone here as I am happy to see my VJ buddies and Canadians get their interviews but in terms of the CR1s and stuff. what a clusterfvck.

Yeah, I know. :(

Despite the benefits to a CR-1 visa (i.e.: no AOS or I-485 etc.), I'm starting to think we should have pressed with the K-3 instead -- especially since it could have been done through the Vancouver Consulate, as opposed to the Montreal one a few thousand kilometers away.

Well, we play the hand we're dealt, right? It just feels like 7 - 2 offsuit right now.

I think it might have something to do with Montreal scheduling the K-1s themselves then NVC schedules the CR1s (I think that's right). Maybe they scheduled all the K1s and will pass the rest of the available dates to NVC to schedule CR1s.

Also, I don't know if you noticed, but most of the K1s are on Fridays. That leaves all other days of the week for you CR1s!

Keeping my fingers crossed for those who are still waiting.

7-2 off suit, eh? Well, I feel like the Bvtch of Hearts that's for sure.

Oh, you have to come all the way from the Westcoast? God, I'm sorry for you guys -- that's a bit of a whammy, eh? I wouldn't change how we did it differently as I really wanted us to be married but god, I just wish that Montreal would get it's ####### together for us too.

In this case, Wyatt, can I call you Wyatt??? I am pocket twos...

I think my least fave has to be A - K (a.k.a. Big Slick). You see it and you think, "Oh boy, what a monster!"...then you get beat by someone with pocket threes.

Boy, did THIS thread ever get off topic quickly...

By the way, you can call me Wyatt, sure. Though that's not my name. Incidentally, it's also my PokerStars handle though. Go figure.

I don't play so for me it's back to bit-chen.

For us the consulate is like a family member that came for a weekend and never left and in our case it seem they never will. What scares us is that we still have the CBP to pass through and then the OAS and if they are anything like Montreal we’ll have our wings hers from heaven and mine from that other place before the green card arrives.

I hope everyone get through Montreal quickly because I think they’re placing your files on top of ours.

What's going on with your files? You got your visa, right and then Montreal wanted you to send some stuff back?

Please don't tell me that they still haven't sent you your passport with your visa in it. What's going on, guys?

That really burns my toast.

That really burns my toast.

Smelling burnt toast is verah bad.

Montreal Interviewer: "What do you have in common with each other?"

Peachey: "We're REALLY weird."

Montreal Interviewer (incredulously to me): "Do you agree with that?"

<I think back to several days before the interview. Driving through the country, passing a field with cows...>

Peachey: "MOOOO! MOOOOO! Does this make me weird?"

Me: "No, well yes. Here, let me roll down the windows so they can hear you better!"

Peachey: "MOOOOO!!!!"

<back to interview>

Me: "Yes, yes I do."

They asked for everything they sent back, and only reply from them is "we'll sent it to you when were done" got the visa on Aug 31 they got it back Sept. 23, 1 month and 20 since it was issued and 29 days since it was returned. God loves everyone, some just not as much as others. They may kill us slowly but will never kill the love we share.

Now get yourselves through this system so we can move on.

Letter received at the consulate on the 20th and on the 26th response to my query "it was sent on Fridays" 23rd. I definitely would like to think that the letter made the difference, and I hope it did because that would mean they are reading the letters and acting on them. I had one advantage over everyone else her letter writing to Montreal, in early Sept. I had the visa in hand and when I sent the letter I was able to add the bio page of my passport and a printout of my visa.

I did want to write I was getting fked and hadn't yet been kissed but left that part out, I think that was a good idea.
